Rear lower control arm bushings question...

So, far I only see that there are 2 bushings for rear lower control arm

W0588 - Rear lower control arm toe (inner) bushing
W0589 - Rear lower control arm shock mount bushing

FYI - Above are whiteline part no's. Is there a reason why the third mounting location is not replaced. Wondered if there was a science to this?

what is the 3rd mounting location?

if you're talking about the 3 'bushings' that are on the lower lateral link, 2 of them are spherical bearings. the only one to replace is the shock bushing.

The LCA ataches to the subframe and the bottom of the knuckle and provides the strut/coilovers a place to bolt in to

Whiteline provides the two bushings to replace the shock mount and the toe (inner).

So, I am guessing only 1 is a spherical bearing, is it bad to replace them with bushings? Thanks!

technically there is no LCA. There is a lateral link and a trailing link that perform the function of "LCA". the inner and outer joints on the lateral link are both spherical bearings.

The toe link bushing is the goes in the same spot as the bump steer correction kit, only it doesn't have the offset hole.

I think I get it now - The KCA388 (bumpsteer) and W0588 are designed for the same thing aka inner side of the assist arm!

While I trust your statement - why would whiteline make 2 diff bushing sets for the same thing? Kinda odd unless there is more to this - Someone will enlighten me, I am sure
