Titanium brake shims

I happened to spot titanium brake shims...has anybody ever used them? They're supposed to help prevent the brake fluid from boiling by insulating the pads from the pistons.

I had quite some argument with another member on here who claimed to be some materials specialist... but I still firmly believe the proof is in the pudding, or in the use...

I use them and have noticed a dramatic improvement because of them. I strongly suggest them.

Drives: a car with 4 wheels.

Looks like it'll also help expand the longevity of the piston boots themselves? Less heat = less stress on the rubber boot.

Yes, I've noticed that as well, more for proof that they do work. I was having to replace the boots every 2-3 track days, and since installing the shims, I have not had to replace them since.

The boots really get that messed up your talking about the ones around the pistons. Not like i dont believe you that the titanium shims work, but I have a hard time believing the boots getting destroyed so easily even though i will still probably get a pair
