I hope to look back some day and be glad I took a few minutes to write each entry to remember fun/angry/sad times about my Evo and things related to it. /sap

Checking on the Evo @ the autobody shop

After receiving a call from Dell Autobody at 9.30am, me and my mom went over there to sign some paperwork to take the car apart for the insurance inspection on monday.

Apparently, since the AAA tow company that took the Evo and the Prius was located just across the street from Dell, they decided it was easiest to drop both cars off there.

Dell Autobody was an impressive shop - the people were fixing up European super cars (black lambo that got rear-ended, silver aston martin that lost its front, black GTR with a door smashed in etc) among the common daily-driver cars, and on the walls they displayed some really cool exotic car hoods.

I'm somewhat more settled now that I've seen the shop seems really professional with great service and friendly people.

Even brought my camera to take clear photos of the damage unlike my mom's crappy blackberry ones from yesterday:

Edit: According to car sites, a 2010 Prius with its 'upgraded' brakes from previous models still stops FOURTEEN FEET further than an '08 Evo X MR in a 60-0 mph brake test. That's the length of a mid-sized sedan.

It's no wonder this Prius that was following so closely couldn't stop - too bad for her insurance. Drivers like that need to stay home.
