AMS F1-I Intake manifold test results inside 60whp Gain!!

AMS F1-I intake makes huge gains, with almost no spool or torque lost!!!

After receiving a cast prototype of our new AMS F1-I manifold we were eager to get it on the dyno and prove that our research, development, and testing would produce yet anoter no-nonsense high quality product, that is consistent with the AMS name.

Our test car is Martins white evo which has the following modifications.

-AMS Race FMIC
-AMS Built 2.0/ aluminum
-AMS CNC race head
-AMS 850R turbo kit with .82 a/r housing
-AMS Turbo Back
-AEM EMS
-Precision 1200cc injectors
-MIL-spec throttle body

Particulars about the testing that are important

- ~27psi of boost
- VP c16 fuel
- Only change made was intake manifold
- Same throttle body, same everything else.
- Both Manifolds were port matched to the throttle body
- Neither manifold was port matched to the head

All conditions are the same in-between the runs, right down to the weather. The only difference that can be noted is in the boost pressure, in favor of the stock manifold dyno numbers. the stock intake manifold would not run under 28.1 lbs of boost at redline. With the AMS F1-I intake manifold boost would go as low as 27.3 lbs of boost at redline.

Using the above as a direct measure of efficiency alone, tells us that the F1-I intake manifold is much more efficient. Because of the fact the the boost will not go any lower on the stock intake manifold, it indicates a lack of efficiency, where basically, the turbo is producing more air than can currently be used by the motor. Because boost pressure is a measure of the airflow that is NOT entering the engine, in this case we can see that stock intake manifold is restricting our flow into the engine.

Another direct indicator of airflow and efficiency is the amount of fuel needed to maintain a consistent air/fuel ratio. This is illustrated below in injector pulsewidth.

And finally... the dyno results. Remember, the stock manifold benefits from an extra .75 lbs of boost at redline!!!

The tach drops out a little on that graph, so i Provided one vs speed as well, so the slight spool difference can be seen.

Overall, this manifold is VERY impressive and the setup is too!! This car produces SICK horsepower for only 27psi of boost!!!!!

[EDIT]

AMS VSR VS AMS F1-I intake manifold

EYE CANDY!!!!

Looks really good. Been waiting to hear a release date on both the F1 and the Dry Sump system..

At 31psi it made almost 690 whp!
I just got the graphs for the F1-I vs the VSR. F1-I spools a tiny bit faster and makes 10-20whp more depending on the RPM point.

Could you guys post a graph showing the torque curve of the F1-I vs. the VSR?

A shot from the inside of the new F1-I....still a rough cast but man is it sexy

the production version will be much smoother and more seamless

I can't see the picture, says access denied where the image would be, though I can still see all the dyno graphs and pictures you posted in previous posts.
