I believe on the 1st page,1st post they had eluded to the fact that it was done, same car, same motor, same set-up,same boost level, the only thing that was changed was the Turbo, thats it,and possibly the tune tweeked a bit.If it was not made clear then
I am trying to make it clear, that is what was done

Yes, the test was done on the exact same car with the same mods back to back. We ran the car and then next day we swapped the turbo. The only change to the tune was adding more fuel when it came on boost. With the more efficient turbo, the volumetric efficiency went up and so did the fuel requirements. I added fuel untill I achieved the 12.5 A/F ratio that I ran the GT35R on. At every boost level (I ran it at 27psi, 30psi, 33psi, and 37psi) this turbo was outmuscling the GT35R.

but my main concern is 3500-5500 RPM's

Bump for response to this, as I am interested in exactly the same thing.

Is this a turbo you guys make yourselves (meaning only you will be selling it) or is this a turbo from Garrett?

|
If you say that then you can say well for another 400-500rpms you can have another 100whp over that too. This is just like Full-Race GT3567 kit and is exactly what I'm looking for 700whp under 40psi and full spool under 4.5K.....PERFECT!!

Martin.....just out of curiosity. Not basterdizing this thread, but how is it that turbos went from "BIG" HKS 3037's up to much much larer GT35 now GT37;s...?
Ive been in a few high hp setup cars, and honestly they ride great....just curious where the limits begin to creep up....
Point is, not everyone is gonna run a GT40 on the street for max power, but some will....with that being said, are the only options left to keep increasing turbo sizes? Stupid question....but different fuels, cams, tunng, intakes, intercoolers, etc wont help a smaller turbos case ANY more than you have made it?
I know the answer is an emphatic YES. I guess Im just wierded out by all these "limits" being reached and pushed so quickly. I really want you guys to get Norris over here or go to the 'Kingdom and show him whats up.
Ever think about mimicking his short wheelbase car?

sounds promising & you guys are stunning us again with your success. are there any plans in the works to consider maybe a GT42R similar to what Norris Designs did? maybe a GT45? Or what are your thoughts on either the HKS T04Z, GReddy T78, or GReddy T88?? my reasoning is for topend power only. don't care much for drag or autox. i spend 80% of my driving time over 100mph...

the greddy turbos are pretty poor performers when compared to an equivalent spooling Garrett Turbo. The HKS T04Z is simply a T67 based garrett turbo, nothing special
