Mitsubishi EVO IX Crate Engine

First off let me introduce myself because we are a new vendor on the site.

My name is Russell Moore and I am the Internet Parts Manager over at mitsubishiparts.net . I already have a handful of evom customers and they are the reason I found the site. 95% of my Mitsubishi customers are EVO owners.

I found out about these crate engines a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting until our vendor status got set up before posting this up. I called Mitsubishi to make sure these were still available for ordering and they are currently. These engines are built to order and shipped straight from Japan.

EVO IX Crate Engine

12/12 Warranty.
6-8 weeks wait time for shipment.

Engine Includes The Following

-Alternator
-Turbo
-Clutch & Disc
-Intake Manifold
-Exhaust Manifold
-Throttle Body
-Ignition Coils
-Timing Belt
-Injectors

MSRP - $6995.00
PRICE - $5237.00
Freight would depend on distance - If you are interested send me a PM and I will get a price.

I can only get these complete units for the IX. Mitsubishi doesnt normally sell engines like this so its kind of a limited deal. When the parts are gone...they are gone.

I can get a short block for the VIII and then you would have to build it up with the remaining parts from there. If you want me to quote you an engine I can. Either the short block alone or the short block + additional parts you need.

Nothing available. This is all I can get and this isnt even a cataloged part.

I was kind of wondering what kind of price the parts alone would be if you pieced one together so I picked out a few key parts and this is what I came up with.

Short Block - $2782.00
Turbo - $2606.00
Head - $1472.00
Gasket Kit - $318.00

TOTAL - $7178.00

That is MSRP, but that isnt even everything it comes with....then there is labor.

I wish I could get a long block, but Mitsubishi doesnt have one available.

That's a pretty smoking deal! When you priced the head for the previous post, is that a complete head or just the bare casting? What does an Evo 8 head cost (bare and built)? I've bought a lot of little stuff through these guys (as I'm sure many people have)... good store.

Originally these were going to be only available through March 30 2007, but they extended it and there isnt a deadline. Whenever they get rid of these then they will stop it.

Mitsubishi only has bare heads. I'll put a link below for a head + all the parts and an upper engine gasket kit.

Head + Parts = Parts List

What all do you exactly need for this? Give me a parts list and I will work you up a quote.

What about drivetrain?

I need the rear assembly, rear diff, front assembly, tranny, and tcase.

I do not need the axels, brakes, or driveshaft.

Thanks

I just had my VIII motor go boom huge hole where dip stick goes in. I have the IX turbo already just thinking I might as well look at swapping in a IX engine instead of a VIII
