Question help on flip flop trunk

i acquired a flip flop trunk for a deal, and now im curious if i am wanting to do it? i have heard and seen peoples cars with them, some trunks look as though they arent closed and sitting awkward, but when they are open, wow, night and day difference, it just looks to hot... anyone have it installed that likes/dislikes it send me a pm and lemme know whats up.

Hell...if you can make it look good, go for it. Wife wants me to do it to my Lancer as well...but, I'm not so sure myself too.

ive seen one of these off ebay and am very tempted to buy on...im just waiting for someone to install and provide pics if they're good or not...

ya i bought some instructions off ebay for a flip flop trunk and did it with some customiziation heres a couple pix of what it looks like

yea, thats how you do it putting hinges with locks on the trunk bars it cost like $10 to do

why even do that... just drive without the deck lid! Does look ghetto

It's not like he drives around with it open. It's show car stuff, man. Not really my cup of tea, but still interesting, if not because of its looks, then because of the simplicity of the setup.

It works out pretty well considering how little extra hardware is really involved.

Haha I love the Ideah very creative and I think with help maybe some paint it wouldnt look so ghetto.

C'mon guys, how could you do somethin like that by yourself and not look like its from home depot...or ghetto, if someone can show me a pic of someones trunk flip floped that isnt ghetto and didnt spend a 100 bux on it, post a pic

all, you really need to do is carpet the inside trunk lid to cover that and just keep the post lock and lift arms of the trunk uncovered to lock it back up.

i guess it would be awsome if you had a huge spoiler that would hit rear window and that was a must. unique look though. especially for showing off a trunk stereo system.
