safc2 install on EVO IX

has anyone done this yet? are the pin outs the same as on the VIII?

The pin-outs are not the same, and there is no patch harness. The IX ECU has 3 plugs while the VIII has 4 plugs. You cannot manipulate the MIVEC with an SAFC, so it's a huge waste of time and money to use an SAFC on your IX when you get 30-40whp from a flash for as little as $199.

thanks, thats all i needed to hear. what flash would you go with? im ready to send off my ECU ASAP.

Dynoflash, of course. I'm not even sure what other tuners do mail-ins for the IX, but I do know that none cost $199 like Dynoflash.
