Pulling fuel on stock turbo with 680's
Since im running pig rich and need to get a tune is it safe to turn down the fuel at -10% across the highs and lows until i get tuned?

i would just wait until i could get some sort of A/F Readings... anything else is at your own risk. 5% isnt that much of a difference, im not recommending anything but if you want maybe do a little changes. dont do anything drastic without seeing A/F.

i know, thats y im asking b/c it says to start out leaning 20% out across the board and then make adjustments. so i figure -10% across the board with no adjustments should be sufficient? I ran the car like this today and it feels A LOT better than it did.

Get your self a wideband before even attemping. Just watch a/f's. We want them to be around 11.4-12.0 under wide open throttle. Each car is different in respect to what air fuel ratio it likes, or runs the best at.

It would be about -17% however, a datalogger monitoring front O2 voltage would be the cheapest route outside of getting on a dyno. With a logger, you can at least monitor ignition timing. AFR at different gears and loads would be different. Lower the gear, the leaner the AFR. Keep that in mind.

Like everyone said, get a wideband to check for sure. But you don't want 10% across the board, you want to ramp it up to @15%-17% incramentaly from my experience. Also, I added 2-4% fuel before the turbo spools at @ 2600-3200 rpms to help spool-up. Please do road tests before you accept any fuel trims permanently. Any stumbles, pauses, cracks, creeks, anything that sounds and feels wrong, most likely is. Peace.

Add fuel does not help spoolup. It slows it down...

would 780cc still be ok with his setup? I am currently on that route also... but I'm planning to get a bigger turbo sometime next year, but the injectors i'll be ordering by this oct. Should i get the bigger one since it'll be anticipating turbo anyway? Would it run ok with the safc? And how big is the gain by doing this?

Don't waste your money on larger injectors until you have the turbo in your hand. THERE IS ZERO PERFORMANCE GAIN OR BENEFIT TO LARGER INJECTORS ON A STOCK TURBO EVO.
You are just throwing money in the wind. Furthermore, count on another $350 to get tuned just so you can run the injectors with no gain in HP over the stock 560's.

^^^Agreed....I learned the hard way lol....I have 660cc on the stock 05 turbo with cams and have 22-25% past 5000rpm pulled out on pump gas at 19 psi and I am at 3000ft elevation and this yields an 11.5 afr at wot fyi....BUT I would not suggest using these settings without a wideband but I would start at 17-20% once you have a wideband and fish between 11.0-11.5 on pump gas and see what the car likes. I have had to tune by the wideband and buttometer for a awile because there are no AWD dynos near by. Good luck.

So what would be a good injector size for the 20g-9? What effect is there really if I got say 780cc compared to 680cc's? Would the 680cc's be good enough?

Stock 560cc injectors should be sufficient on 93 octane. If you are limited to 95RON in the Phillipines, you may consider 680's.
