PowerFC Manuals & mapping!

hi guys,
hve a evo7, just bought a apexi powerfc from a friend, but he does not have manuals, and he does not make it easy on how this unit fuctions....i hve installed, turbo smart manual boost controller, competition manfolds, milteck for s/s exhaust system, and defi link gauge, and de-limter... how i need to know how to programme or map the powerfc or if ne1 has mapped one can drop me a email and what are the major things to look out for!!

well are you using datalogit? this is possibly the simplist way to map it.

You need a wideband, integrate it with the datalogit (like the LM1) start with a moderate ignition map and set the AFR's to about 11.3 wide open throttle. Then play with the ignition timing in small amounts, whilst monitoring knock. A little more than that is required obviously but and helps if you know what you are doing. It really is not that difficult if you have a little idea about the combustion process and what a map should look like.

well yes just ordered the Datalogit,cable and software.... once i get it, shall keep you posted! are u running an apexi on ur car!
