EVO ECU pinout?? Power fc problem Evo6-7-8

OK heres my little big problem...

I have a evo 8 JDM... as some of you may know they dont make power fc d-jetro for it.. so i have had to buy the patch loom to be able to buy an evo7 or evo 6 ecu..
D-jetro is the AFM less version of the power fc...

So i got the adapter loom which in thoery now meant my car can rn a evo7 ecu and a evo 6 one if i changed a couple of wires over...

THe d -jetro power fc i found was a evo 6 one..
For some reason this does not want to work..
The injectors piss out fuel and floods the engine..
We checked the wiring and the injectors are all in the same place from evo4 upwards to evo 8..

So where is my problem here? I managed to borrow a evo7 computer of a friend and that works fine with the change of a few wires...

My big question is.. HOW can this work??
WHat is the main difference between 6-7-8 ECu's for it not to work??

I really need to sort this out as the guy needs his ECU back..

Power fc cmputer. car is a evo 8 running a evo 7 on currently.. but wanting to adapt the evo 6 one to work with my car..

Can anyone help with this??


Just a little pointer... An evo 8 USDm has the same wiring loom as JDM evo 7...

see pinouts on the link above, as far as i know the 7 and 8 are the same but the 6 you have to change around the fan wires. However it depends on which version you have, is it an 8MR? these have some differences. I have a VI rs2 and it is different to the 6 GSr I had to switch around the fuel pump and a/c wires to get the car to start.

All that being so, have you checked the software adjustments and initialised the Power fc? it might be tuned wrongly for your combination.
