knock levels and peak hold ?

is there anyway to see how high your knock levels get ? it flashes so fast its hard to see while driveing is there like a peak hold ? and al;so sometimes under exceleration lights flash on the dash ,.. is this indicateing high knock levels and what is the recomended number for knock count on the hand controller what would be considered "safe" or ok thanks

MONITOR (press NEXT) 1 CHANNEL (press NEXT) KNOCK (press NEXT) (press UP)
it will show the knock display in bar graph format and a digital top score (or peak) is displayed (press RIGHT to clear the top score)

a level of 60 will cause the engine check light to come on
if its going to 60 you should get your tuner to look at it and fix the tune
the engine is knocking enough to be a warning and should be fixed
if you are a long away from your tuner and you insisit on loading it up / keep knocking it put in some higher octane fuel or learn how to use the temp IGN adjust to back out some timing. the powerfc faq covers knocking a bit more and how to use the temp adjust

also, your check engine light may come on if you are maxing out your injectors
