Was getting P0171 when running E85, switch to 93...no codes
I started a thread in the engine forum here: P0171 and P2195 codes thrown while car idled for a while
SO it seemed based on other threads with those 2 codes that the 02 was going bad. My tuner suggested I try 93 and some some seafoam. I was almost on empty last night so I filled up on 93 (first time in a month) and no codes. I got gas too late so I wasn't able to purchase seafoam.
Its important to note that once i cleared the code it wouldn't come back (wasn't pending either)....it would always come back and I'd have to clear it. Since I put the 93 in I had a P0171 pending but not come back up yet.
It recently got colder in Ga in the morning damn near in one day...all of sudden its 50's in the morning (literally overnight). I never recieved the P2195 error again. Only the first time. Any ideas. I thought it might have been the plugs (I was messing around with my JDM rear and license plate fitment/light so I didn't think to check the spark plugs. Barring that it seems that somehow the E85 might've been cause my code. I think this all happened on the same tank so maybe I got a bad batch (or winter grade E85 already...so maybe E70).
What do you guys think?
