Stock idle - 852 rpm - on RC 1,000cc injectors.

I have tweaked the idle up to 1,133 rpm when the A/C is on.

So far 1450 BlueMax

I'm thinking of trying out a set of 1600's on my personal car just to conquer them on 91 oct (I know they work on E85) to say I did.

Drives: a 4088r powered banana.

I have FIC 950's now and am planning on BlueMax 1650's so I can run serious boost.

My 950's idle amazing though.

Hmm. wonder why you guys need to bump idle with a/c? my injector dynamic 1000 idle like stock at 850 with and without a/c. but I want to go bigger to 1200s. and my second car will need even more like 14--1600. GST how do the 1450 idle with a/c? do you think you can get bosch 1600s to idle low?

Curious why not add a FPR and second fuel pump and crank your base pressure? the ID's are designed to work better at higher base pressures. At 100 psi they will work like a set of 1600's and you will still have outstanding idle quality and all the other benefits the ID's have over other injectors.

I have the target idle set at 850, but it rarely get there. Most of the time it is @1000, and if it is hot it will hang at 1100-1200. I have RC 1000cc's. It does this on 91 pump as well. I have a mini battery, not sure is that is related...

My Bluemax 1450's idle fine on pump gas, it just took some swearing to get them scaled. I think my intake wasn't helping the issue as I did MAF scaling to get things working correctly.

Bryan try the 1600's I've always wondered if they would work on pump gas.

the problem with that is fuel pump wont keep up at high boost. if I crank base to 50psi the fuel pump has to do that 50psi plus the boost psi 50+35=85psi. add in pressure loss through lines and filter and pump would need to be strong at 95psi.

Yeah I know - just add an external pump (bosch) or a twin in-tank setup?

Seemed fine when it rolled out of the shop (I always test A/C idle with aftermarket injectors.)

I've tuned a couple ID 1000's on the Evo 10's and so far I really like them.

Not sure on 1600's as I haven't touched them yet.

My FIC 1050s idled just slightly choppy on pump gas. They flow 20-25% more than pretty much any other 1000 cc/min injector though.
