I now have control over the ISCV step setting specifically when the starter is cranking. I've upped the values by about 12 (and have confirmed the increase in ISCV step with EvoScan), but so far, no obvious improvement in warm start. I will try higher values today.

I upped my values (10-20steps) and it did not seem to effect the warm start issue. It seems to me that it would be a fuel issue, because if you start the car when it is warm and it cranks for a few extra seconds than normal and then you shut off the car and try to start it again right away, it will start up just fine. The Coolant temp doesn't change, and neither does the idle step value. But the first time it takes longer to start.

Yep, I tend to agree, but wanted to explore whether opening up the ISCV more could help. Its a pretty confounding situation.

I'm bringing this topic back to see if anyone has any updated information on the warm start issues. I have tried playing around with the Idle Stepper Lookup table with no discernable change in my warm starting (E85, 1250cc injectors). I have since changed the settings back to stock since the updated table values wreaked havoc on my overall idle without helping at all with warm starts.

I changed IPW starting by %10 i believe, no longer have to press the gas but the car still doesn't instantly fire up. Im going to try higher values.

Yea it sounds like you guys need to tweak the startup IPWxCoolant Temp more.
Log what your coolant temp is when you get the hard starting and tweak the corresponding cell.

I have tweaked it constantly to both ends of the spectrum...i even zero'd it out and it made little to no difference in the ipw values at start up I was logging.
Its really bad in the 50c range for me (usually when the car sits for about 30 min)...After about 15 min is when the startup gets sketchy...i have noticed that if i start cranking and then go wot it will fire on the first set of cranks but still has longer than normal cranking (i actually hear the cranking speed increase). Sometimes i smell fuel and sometimes I dont - so its hard to diagnose if its getting to much fuel or not enough.
I have put in a new walbro, new oem FPR, i added a fuel pressure gauge and I am getting factory spec fuel pressure - I am getting FP during cranking as well. I had the company send me a different set of injectors (made no diff.). I seafoamed the motor last oil change through the IM thinking maybe valve deposits, etc...Didn't make even a slight difference but the smoke show was cool. I am getting no abnormal FP leak downs after the car sits, seems to be all in spec regarding fueling.
best part is I put the stock injectors back in all is well though......its not the injectors because the first set before being returned was tested in a car that starts fine in all conditions and the injectors fired no problem in this car. I even run the same settings as this other car, plus flashed the entire rom onto my ecu with just an immob. change and made no difference.
My trims are as perfect as you could ask for....its baffling to say the least

Thats really weird. Because i just tuned my friends 9 for e85, on 1200 PTE's this thing starts like its on pump gas when the thing is dead hot.
Im absolutely baffled.

It actually warm starts better on e85......on 93 its much worse, but I have nothing to do but keep tweaking and see if someday I have a eureka! moment.
