2005, converted beginning of July 2008. so far 12k miles. Runs perfect. was worried bout oil... sent oil off for analysis at regular intervals up to 10k miles. E85 has no affect on oil that i have noticed.

Am I understanding that you kept the same oil in your motor for 10,000 miles? All I can say is WOW!
I'd like some more details, please:
Type of air filter used?
What exact oil - brand, type, weight, viscosity?
Approx oil consumption over the 10,000 miles?
Oil testing interval(s)?
Test results compared to previous test on dino oil?
When I went to E85, with much higher boost and much higher fuel volume, I went from 5,000 mile interval down to 3,000 just to be cautious. Sounds like I'm wasting my money.

No. I still changed at regular intervals of 5k as the analysis indicated there was no reason to change any sooner. E85 really had no affect on the oil. Using stock oil filter, and K&N drop in air filter. results are in here somewhere. also posted extensively on socalevo.net. each 5k interval had approximately 2 auto-x events and 6 rally-x events. The car was driven hard. Mobil 1 oil worked great. The car has always consumed about .75 quart every 3500-4k miles. tested every 1k miles. I have never used dino oil. Only synthetic. didn't have any results prior. was testing to see if the oil was would make it to normal intervals and not have any ill affects from e85. at 22 bucks for a jug of Mobil 1. i would say go ahead and waste money. Its piece of mind. I recently switched to Motul 300V (free stuff) I will be sending in my final analysis on that batch soon.

mdsevo06, IX GSR 06, Aug.01.'08, 3500 miles on E85. Changed the oil at 3K and sent in for testing. Came back with flying colors and will go 5K on the next with SSO 0W-30.

OK, now I'm following your story. The E85 had no ill effect on the oil, so there was no reason to adjust (shorten) the normal 5K mile change interval.
I think I will go back to 5K mile change interval. With the money I save on oil, I can buy more spark plugs! E85 seems to shorten plug life; I'm not really sure why. ...but that is prolly fodder for another thread...

Going to bump this thread as it's been almost exactly a year since I posted the above. E85 full time.
Here is some info I posted earlier this year here:

I definitely missed the evo scene for a couple of years and talks of e85 used started around 06-07, and most was using meth or alky but finding a e85 station was a pain so I never made the switch. Now you guys got me ready to make the switch

EVO IX converted 10/06/09.
200 miles so far. Rebuilt motor so I'll see how well it likes the E85 long term.

With bolt-ons and a GTR30 turbo and e85 could put down good numbers i'm assume? I've been talking to evo owners around Atlanta, and I just trying to get a feel of what power area's I could be in when I get that far.
