CEL - Idle Higher than expected????
I just switched to e85 today, on a pretty much stock car. I have 660cc injectors (which are just barely big enough for the stock turbo and stock boost, Im waiting on some 1000cc to come in) walbro 255HP.
I am getting a repeated CEL - "Idle higher than expected", has anyone else had this?
On a side note, it is running really well, the more I tune it, the better it gets. I did get some very funny looks that the e85 pump while I was scaling the injectors etc . I just put in 5 gallons then pull off to the side to play with scalings, and once I was sure things were ok, I pulled back to the pump and added the remaining to fill the tank
Use the SAS actuator in Evoscan to set the BISS to make sure the screw is set right. If you have more than 2 gallons of gas to a full tank of E85 it will through your trims off until you get a full tank. Then when you get your new injectors you will get to start all over. I would have waited until I had my injectors in and scaled properly and trimmed with gas before I switched over to E85 it keeps the tuning simple.
Speaking about funny looks I don't know how people are in Texas but one of the stations I use a lot I can't get in and out of there without someone at the pumps asking me a half dozen questions about my car and converting cars over to E85.

Thanks for the input. Ill look at that.
Yeah i know I should have just done it all at once, but I was getting impatient and I figure this way, I can play with it run this tank out and start with a fresh tank of e85 when my 1000cc come in.
e85 isnt that popular here yet, there is only a hand full of stations, but I was at a GM dealer and the guys at the service center Im sure thought I was about to be in there getting my take drained :-)
