Question Best Turbo for DD E-85 2.0l?

Ok, so winter is coming and the spring will come right after that and that's when i wanna have a bigger turbo. Just like all of us i don't want too much lag and i want big power.

E85 means safe high boost all day long, so i've been thinking 3065 at 27-30 psi. But with recent developments with twin scroll set-ups, it seems like i can go bigger and not deal with too much lag.

The car is a daily driver, not a drag or garage queen. I would want to be able to run some laps around a track or auto-x it every once in a while, but power on the street is the priority numero uno.

So i wanna hear your guys' opinions!!! Thanks in advance!

It's ok Noone ever comes in here anyway! And i already ordered the Green anyway.

It went down to round 40F here recently at night. Starts right up. We'll see what happens when it gets down to 0 in december.

The green was probably a good choice since you plan on running high boost. A 3065 on a 2.0 is a laggy beotch. Its even too much for me on a 2.3.

^ Well it's a good idea that i didn't get the 3065
Green has been in for 2 weeks, power is awesome, DLL shows about 400 for hp for now, it will increase though as soon as i fix my TB shaft seal boost leak. Now the boost falls from 27 to 22. That's up from ~340-350 I had on a stocker at 28 psi.

Oh and i'm running out of fuel, so i need a dual pump at this point. IDC's go over 100% after 6500rps.

I think i made a very good choice on the turbo as i'm getting into autox and at some point TT. Blasting around streets, light to light is another thing that was more important to me than bragging about HP my car has or a 10sec pass.

Here's a DLL (1.0 correction)

mplspilot,

Those are some good numbers!!

I was wondering if you had any updates on cold starts? I'd imagine its a bit colder now in December...And what injectors are you running?

Thanks

You don't need a dual pump, not even close. You just need some bigger injectors, what are you using now?

Not true at all. The 3065 is a perfect balance between good spool up and power closest to a 35R. Some ppl exaggerate way too much about lag it's not even funny. If you want big power you have to sacrifice something somewhere. I personally went from a stock untuned setup to a 3065 w/all supporting mods and trust me, once boost hit i didn't give a damn about a lil lag. And it holds aaaaalll the way to red line, no fall off in power. The 20glt is a great turbo, i was even considering it, but many ppl eventually just want more power.

Are you SURE? This is on E85 remember. Supposedly anything mroe than the stock turbo is too much for one Walbro "..on E85 mannnnn!? Red team go! Red Team go!!!"

It would be nice to produce a solution for cold weather E85 startups.
Other than the initial startup after sitting all night, I don't have a problem out of mine. Even after it's sat a few hours if I'm out, then it starts right up.

Mine starts right up after sitting in the driveway with sub freezing temps with dead battery for 2 weeks.

Even a 3076 is a great turbo and he is right bigger injectors and a single walboro will get you pretty decent results. From all the research ive been doing.
