AEM lost rpm signal?

I wasn't there but the shop working on my car said they can't connect to the AEM. It almost completes connecting and then shuts off. I don't know if by "shut off" they mean it powers down completely or it just stops connecting.

Fuel pumps aren't getting a signal to prime either. The car turns over but won't start.

The box for the COI works but the coils aren't getting signal some how.

The AEM was running perfectly fine until I broke the transmission, then the car sat for 4 months. Could the car sitting for that long cause the AEM to get fuxored?

Would reloading the settings/map help?

I'm going up there with my laptop to see if it will connect, but I was hoping someone has ran into this issue before.

I'm not even 100% sure this is an AEM problem just yet. I guess I have alot of troubleshooting to do. Hopefully it's something easy to fix!

Any suggestions or things I can do to try and diagnos the problem?

reset everything in the AEM, re-calibrate the sensors, check all the wiring connections to the sensors, check all the ground wires, re-upload the map and try it again. make sure your connection cable from laptop to AEM didnt get F'ed

Well they took the AEM from another friends car and put it in mine and it cranked right up. I'm sending the AEM off to get checked.

Thanks for the advice.
