Blue Screen/Physical Memory Dump

Using my Mac with Parallels to Windows XP, I have a serial-to-usb converter plugged in to the EMS. I can run AEM Pro and play around in it. When I connect the EMS to my laptop, AEM Pro has a 'Downloading' bar in the status bar. When it completes downloading (I'm assuming it's dl'ing the .cal file), Windows crashes to a blue screen of death with a Physical Memory Dump error. This only happens when the I connect the software to the hardware. I can start AEM Pro in offline mode and it will work, but once I connect it, it downloads then dumps.
There is a downloaded .cal file in my AEM Pro folder that SHOULD be my configuration, but everything is blank/0s (which can't be right because the car runs fine).
Anyone seen anything like this? I will be getting a different USB-Serial adapter tomorrow (I hope). Any input would be nice. Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem. I use WinXP, AEM 1313, serial-to-usb converter.
When Windows crashes to a blue screen, I use other usb port for usb converter. And it's wroking after reload.
