Mivec and triggerdisc
Does anybody has the triggerdisc and Mivec in EVO9. How do you manage trouble with synchro between crank and intake cams? Please let me know.

I noticed no one responded...if you have a trigger disc and a mivec motor your mivec is not working unless you do some special wiring of the AEM.
You better have a good tuner who knows what to do...ie Mark French at Turbotrix racing.
My car starts like stock with the triggerdisc and my MIVEC is on...noice!!

Folks, the EVO disc has not been thoroughly tested on the EVO 9 platform. We have found that in most cases the MIVEC lacks functionality with the use of the triggerdisc. As a result, we do not recommend the use of this disc on the EVO 9 unless you are not concerned with MIVEC tuning.
That said, we are currently working on a unique version of the disc specifically designed for the EVO 9, which will allow the tuner to take full advantage of the MIVEC capability with greater accuracy than the stock ECU. Release of the EVO 9 disc is TBD.
Please note that the earlier EVOs such as the 8 are wholly unaffected by this discovery. The triggerdisc works flawlessly on pre-9 EVOs and 1G & 2G DSMs. We have many satisfied customers. For the few EVO 9 customers out there: we apologize for the inconvenience. When we are ready to release the EVO 9 disc we may be able to work something out with you.

LOL now you tell us!!!!
You can get it to work...but its an on/off switch so the transition point is not that smooth...when you turn it off...but you cant feel it
but my power band shifted with the mivec back on... turbo spools waaay sooner picked up almost 100 ft lbs of tq in spots down low...

the problem is solved. The several EVO9 make awesome results:
GTK-1000
GT35R(1.4bar)
The spool with mivec is about 1200rpm earlier and VE gets +30-35% better.
Sorry for russian...)))

How is it fixed? I'm confused. Is the data comparison you are giving us with and without trigger disc? Does the can have the, same turbo, compression, fuel, new cams? All this make a difference in spooling a turbo faster. This set up look to be a whole new setup. Sorry I'm not able to read Russian??

Victor when you say the mivec dosn't work what do they mean, is it that it defaults the cam to 0* or what.
I have called and emailed you on numerous occasions and you have failed to call me back or respond to my emails I just need to find out will i have to take the disc out or are you gonna be making a cam disc

This is correct.
I don't know your name, but I don't believe I've received emails or phone messages from you. If this is incorrect, please shoot me an email at sales @ triggerdisc.com and forward what you send previously and we'll try to get it cleared up.
We plan to make a batch of discs specifically for the EVO IX in the next few weeks, with an eye toward making it available for beta testing. Some testing may occur on an affiliate's vehicle in FL.
