TPS Unplugged? Why?

Hello, I bought my car with quite a few mods, (check sig). I currently have an AEM EMS. I just have a basemap loaded because I have lost the previous tune when my E-prom chip fried.

Anyways, I've noticed the TPS sensor is unplugged. The car ran well with the original tune and TPS unplugged. Once I plug in the TPS, the car Idle starts accellerating up to 4000 rpms.

My question is, why would the TPS be unplugged on an AEM EMS powered car? And does the AEM require the TPS plugged in when being tuned?

The TPS need to be attach. It is used mostly for accel maps and other stuff. But you need to make sure it is calibrated. I should read off throttle 0.40-0.88% and 100% on throttle. I would run with it unplugged.
