o2 disconneted, but still running fine?

I found out the previous owner cut the front o2 sensor wire when he installed an exhaust. The car ran fine before I lost my tune. What problems would arise with the front o2 disconneted? Im running the aem standalone.

The AEM does not read off the stock o2 sensor, it's all tuned via wideband. The only time you would have any issues without a o2 is if you were using o2 feedback with AEM. Obviously if your car is running fine without the o2 in there then o2 feedback is not enabled, but yet again, o2 feedback will read off of o2 #1 or o2 #2 channel via wideband sensor.

Thanks for the clarification! I do not like the Idea of the sensor wire being cut, so fixing it shouldn't have any effect then.

just get a plug from an autoparts store and get rid of the front o2 all together.
