AEM Twin Fire Ignition Module or HKS DLI II

Does anyone know how this unit compares with the HKS DLI II?

Drives: 09 MB C63 AMG, 07 VW GLI Turbo(DSG),06 Evo IX SE. 95 Eclipse GSX... Evos gone!

^^^ same here. I had one of the first units ever sold to the public. The shop installing it recommended me something else because the AEM is not really plug and play and it required significant cutting and splicing that I really did not want..

HKS has been giving great results. You can also try Hyper Sun ignition amplifier, it is plug and play.

Do any of you guys know if the HKS is rated for a certain horsepower? If you were going to run a gt35, 37, or 40 set up, would you need to go to a coil on plug set up? This set up is over a grand from most places...so I would rather save the cash and stay with the HKS if it's rated to at least 600 awhp. Trying to think ahead.

Go with the HKS DLI and save yourself (and your coils/fuses) a bunch of hassle.

I would actually highly recommend the DSM Coil setup, it is less than half the price of the DLI or SUN unit and it works better. It is only 4 wires to hookup and you do not have to cut the plugs on your engine harness. Several of us have been running them and it out performs the DLI and SUN unit by a long shot. I have one up for grabs pre-built in the forsale section. At 175 shipped to your door you can't go wrong.

FS: EVO Ignition upgrade to dumb coil and ignitor!
