I'm not sure what version is currently running on your AP.
1. Power up your AP.
2. Go to the about screen and look at the "Firmware" version.
3. Compare the current firmware version of the AP to what is listed on the website here: http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3874. The current version of Mitsubishi AP firmware is 1.2.7.1.
Thanks,

Thanks...i can definitely check it out...But...does the version 1.2.7.1 have all the bugs worked out? i.e. the fuel trims and the 0-60 & 1/4 mile performance stuff?
Thanks

back to the knock sensor......
my buddy has AP as well on stage 2 his car was counting 7-15 counts of knock on 91, we then tried it with 110 race gas it still was knocking the same.
I have a completely stock evo 8, we logged my car with an ecu flash program it was knocking 4-6 count under normal driving.

When are you seeing these knock counts? Is this under high-load WOT or at low load partial throttle cruising? There isn't enough cylinder pressure at partial throttle low load to cause engine damage, when we get concerned is at higher-RPM high-load situations. See if you can discern when this is happening and under what conditions.

This is happening around 5,000 rpm full throttle and 2500 rpm no boost.
I almost wonder if this is just engine noise.
what are your thoughts?

Low load, high knock is not anything to really worry about. We have noted this behavior in just about every vehicle we support. However, knock at 5000 rpm under WOT is something to take note of and should be diagnosed by a tuner. How much knock are you seeing?
