For the 8 theres no reason to use an iridium plug. Stick ONLY with NGK. Bpr7es I run with a little over 675 hp without a hiccup. Autolite is junk. They made my 07 silverado miss and run like S***

gap should be determined once you decide on fuel and psi. After that, then tune. I usually start somewhere around .027 and go down to around .023. Run e85, around 40psi. No issues.
And wouldn't say that iridiums aren't necessary.. but they are recommended. the expense is definitely higher, but I guarantee you will change out your plugs more if you run the copper.
