Gapping the spark plug
i will be replacing my spark plugs soon with the same NGK BPR8ES that i have on there right now.
I will be installign FP black running pump gas and i was wondering at what length do i gap these things?

That's sounds about right. Yeasterday My buddie gaped his at that on his built 2.0 fp black. Runs smooth up to 8200rpm

.20 is what I have mine at and ER told me to put them there.

depends on how much boost you run....but all the suggestions so far are good. I'd stay right in the middle...the units are actually in hundredths of an inch, not tenths, so it would be 0.020 - 0.024.....unless u guys are gapping ur plugs to a quarter inch lol

I have a 61mm car have always gaped plugs to .026 and never had a spark issue even up to 30psi

If I remember right mine are .022. But I'm about to change them so I'll check them for you

i would just go to your local car parts retailer. I go to O'Reilly Auto Parts. They have your regular gap guages, and some people like to try and use feeler guages.

Feeler guages are nice and flat, don't use one of the round increasing ones " looks like a fifty cent piece" its hard to be consistent with it.

The round ones work just fine, just don't get the parts counter cheapies at O'Reilley, they have better quality ones in the aisle.
