4b11 internals strength
Sorry for the noob question but Im debating on getting a IX or X and the only thing in the back of my head is 4G63 has forged internals and then on wikipedia I read that 4B11 has strengthened internals. Just wanted to get everyones opinions. Thanks!!!

just because it's newer.. i would assume mitsu would go to some lengths to make the motor stronger. but yea 400-450tq on the 4g63 is prob the limit, and i dont think either motor can run much more for very long before theyre gonna pop. if you're thinking about pushing these motors to stock block limits you're gonna need to be ready to get the motor built some day anyway. in terms of ultimate power from a built engine the old 4g63 still has it

The diff is why, and what the failure point is. if I'm building an engine and the stock rods are strong and proven then, depending on my HP target i may use them and just replace the rod bolts and pistons. plus I was trying to stay on topic (4B11 VS 4G63)
