Best Mods for Evolution IX
I know there has been a million threads upon this topic but no matter how much I research the mods, I can't seem to get accurate hp gains for the evo ix. My layout for the best mods for the best gains...according to the tons of dyno sheets I have looked at for the evolution IX are as followed.
Injen intake w/ Upper and Lower Intercooler Piping
Megan Exhaust, Downpipe, & Tailpipe
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump (not a gain, necessity mod)
HKS 272 Cams
Megan Exhaust Manifold
Megan O2 housing or TTP's O2 housing (heard Megan's tend to crack)
Turbo XS Intercooler
Any MBC or EBC (seems to be preference nowadays...)
Forge RS BOV (Hks ssqv sounds nice...but to many problems)
***Trying to refrain from E85 injection on 800cc injectors?***
TTP tune by far seems to be digging power out of each one of these mods...
I am trying to hit as close to 400 hp as possible on stock turbo and stock block. I also do not want to use E85 or meth injection as a means for power as I heard it would not be good for the engine in the long run...I also understand that I need bigger injectors if I want to upgrade my turbo. No need for an FP red or anything drastic such as that as I am trying to stay close to N/A as possible.
My question in the end is, can I really hit close to 400 hp with these mods?
Can I stay on stock internals with these mods?
Do I really need E85 or Meth injection with 800cc injectors do get the biggest gains?
Please share your insight...and enlighten me as this is my first post.

On a mustang dyno most definitely as ttp seems like the place to be for these type of mods. Are you saying that with those cams and that FMIC it is possibly to hit 400 hp on stock turbo? And the person you heard of hitting 400 on stock turbo...what mods not noted in this thread, helped him accomplish that?

The Mustang dyno is a low-reading dyno, which has helped earn it the nickname "the heartbreaker". A stock Evo only reads a little over 200whp on a Mustang dyno. You're not going to double the stock power with a few bolt-ons and a tune.
TTP has already stated above that they would be happy to help. Why not call them up and discuss your whp goals, your budget, and let them suggest the most cost effective upgrade path?

I was looking at your list of parts and had to check the post date. I assumed this was a thread brought back from pre 2007.
Intake: Perrin
Licp: ets v2
Uicp: whatevers 150 or less in the f/s section
Fmic: ETS, AMS or buschur (spell check?)
Cams: GSC S2 or FP4r
Exhaust: Something that clears the ACD and is 3"
O2 housing: titek or invidia
Exhaust manifold: Ported stocker
Fuel pump: walboro 255 hp
Tune: AWD
Try that, better parts, more power, better reputation.

to go with your comment on hks ssqv, i was boosting 22 psi couple weeks ago and it blew the flange right off, left me to put it back together on the road.. After all that i still have it on there just because it sounds nice ..
As far as gain and hp every car is going to act different, i would love to know whats needed just as much as you

Injen intake w/ Upper and Lower Intercooler Piping
Megan Exhaust, Downpipe, & Tailpipe
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump (not a gain, necessity mod)
Kelford TX272 cams
Ported Stock Manifold
Megan O2 housing- manifolds crack, not O2 housings
Turbo XS Intercooler or ETS
Perrin 3 port boost solenoid and ECU controlled boost
Forge RS BOV or Evo15 valve
***Trying to refrain from E85 injection on 800cc injectors?***
You will need 1000cc minimum for E85 but it is the best and cleanest fuel available.
TTP tune by far seems to be digging power out of each one of these mods...
This is what would change in your list... 400whp on a Mustang Dyno is possible however you WILL need high octane such as E85 to get there. E85 is actually way better for your car than gasoline as it runs the engine cooler and keeps the engine clean inside.
