who currently makes the lightest wheels
Dear Gang-
Need to know who currently makes the lightest wheels for VII/VIII/IX fitment.
I presently run 8.5 x 18 Volk CE28Ns, which according to available data
are 16 lbs each. I have found nothing lighter, although it appears the Yoko ADVAN wheels are real close and are definitely very nice looking. I only saw an approximate weight on the photo shown, though.
I want a set of either 9" or 9.5" x 18s, the lightest, strongest wheels available.
Info please !
Thanks, Chris Fisher

i was going to comment on the CF wheels but you beat me too it! check out the rpf1s, nt03s, the weds, and other variations of volk. your not always going to find the STRONGEST also be the LIGHTEST. compromise and decide what the best all around wheel is in your price range. BC wheels are sweet, hard as heck to find tho. gl

It depends on how much you want to spend, RPF1's that Smike posted are probably the lightest for their price by far. Volk probably has some lighter wheels in that size, I know the RE-30's are light but close to 3x the price of the RPF1 and only a pound or two less. If money is no object then go with a $10,000 set of Dymag carbon fiber wheels, I believe they're 12-13 lbs for 18".
