Zeitronix instead of gauges
I would like to know your opinion on that Zetronix device.
I was planning to buy a new Defi CR series gauges: boost, oil temp, EGT and AEM A/F gauge.
That is not the cheapest option but reliable and has an alarm.
On one day I thought that the Zeitronix with boost, EGT and wide band o2 sensors + alarm device and any oil temperature gauge should do the same if not better, for less.
I am not going to log any data though.
What do you guys think about it?

Defi is neither cheap nor reliable.
Zeitronix has a programmable alarm feature that runs circles around anything else in the marketplace.
You can program simple alarms or complex alarms such as: IF BOOST 20PSI> AND AFR 12.5> AND EGT 900C>, THEN SOUND ALARM.
The Zeitronix Wideband systems are in a class of their own.

Most 52 and 60mm gauges are made in China and Taiwan. Zeitronix is made in the USA by guess who? A Polish Engineer. Zeitronix started in the Medical and Military instrumentation field where precision and reliability are the difference between life and death. Zeitronix instrumentation is proudly made in the USA. Many Government Agencies and independent agents for the military buy Zeitronix product from us to test many classified projects.

I use the Zeitronix setup myself. Works out great. I have it fed into my carputer for onscreen gauges and then I have their display in the glovebox as a back up, just in case.

Defi gauges aren't really the best. If you have money to burn, they are an option... they do look good and sometimes function well, however the net value of them has gone down in my honest opinion. I had a set of Defi gauges for my previous car, and the boost was always read 1+ over. Not really worth it for the high price tag.

The Defi's have always been slightly off, at least the boost gauge.
Zeitronix display works great, had peak hold as well, and like TTP said, programmable visual and audible alarms (with optional alarm box) and even a programmable relay that you can use for things like dropping boost on fault or even ECU map switching (works great for meth failsafes)

I am a big fan of the Zeitronix. It is all I use to tune with. It is a very accurate gauge plus they make the ZR-2 multigauge, and you can display all of your parameters on one gauge.
Yes, here they come. Very punctual while operating with precision and remarkable accuracy.
