The vital stats I have on these two tires is helpful, but I am looking for user advice and experience, as I have very little. I am a daily driver, but my stockers only yielded 6k miles, so I need the tread life, but I am more interested in maintaining cornering speed and stability if I do happen to drift some. The super sports have a 400AA vs the ventus v12's 280AA, but I don't know about handling. I asked Discount Tire for advice, which may have been my first wrong move, but they suggested the higher wear rated bfg would have better handling. I only know of the c&d comparison
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests. I have heard of good reviews of both, but no comparisons between the two. If the 300AA KDW's could not outperform and were noisy, I don't know how the A/S could improve. I know one is a summer, and one is all season, but in Texas, the snow almost never comes, although I might see showers like today. I know both performed well in wet and dry, and that it might be like apples to oranges, but I am conflicted between the two. I am looking at using stock MR rims and using 245/40, 245/45, 255/40, and 265/40. I would try 275/40, but I know it is not realistic for 8.5". I know the sizes matter, and that the A/S is 245/40 and 245/45 only, but I am looking into all options. My main focus is cornering grip and my speedo isn't important, as I can memorize the change. It is already off by 2mph @40mph (reads 42) so w/e size is good. Thanks in advance for your input and sorry about the length
