Help battery completely dead doors wont open!!!!

Ok i was just wondering if anyone with the auto door unlock thing, not sure what exactly to call it, but it doesnt matter. Has anyone had to get into there car when the battery is completely I mean COMPLETELY DEAD.

I recently had my car shipped to Germany and the shipping retards never disconnected the battery so since the Entry thing is always on the car was completely Dead, and my doors wouldnt even unlock with key in the Fob. On a note i did manage to get in the car with a F'in coat hanger(some small little scratches which the shipping company is going to take care of $$$$). I am jsut curious if anyone else has had this issue.

BTW the german Mitsu dealer didnt have a clue. The joys of being overseas

So a small note to other people dont let your battery go completely dead or nothing opens at all.

I wouldn't think anyone would make a car that you couldn't get into when the battery is dead. There has to be another way to get into it. If not that is a F-A-I-L for Mitsu.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a key 'hidden' inside the FOB that can be used to unlock the doors.

Yea, there's a mechanical key in the fastkey fob. See where the key ring hooks on to? That metal peice is the end of the key. On the back of the fob, there's a little slider. Slide it, then that key will pull out and you can open the door.

i believe u have to slide the key out, and then connect the back to the smart key for it to have affect. if u just use the key, it wont unlock.

Now that i didint try bc i put the actually KEy in the door and it would turn but it wouldnt unlock the door. i didint try to put the key in the Fob and turn it. Interesting, see i though maybe it was a stupid electronic key unlock and since my battery was completly dead it wouldnt unlock, oh well i am going to go and test this theory today will see what happens. Thanks guys

tried the whole keep the key in the key fob thing and had the battery disconnected and guess what..... it still didnt open the doors. I have my car open so it not a big deal, but i am just curious if i have the same problem again what the hell are you suppose to do??

I only need to know bc i am in the army and we do get deployed so cars kinda sit for a while sometimes ie: a year at a time if stored.

I manage to get into the car with a coat hanger when I initially picked my car up from the port. But i really dont like that idea (scratches)

This is really frustrating me to know that Mitsu really dropped the ball on this one. Either that or I am a retard, but i am leaning toward the first

I had a nissan with the same type of thing as the FastKey.... needless to say I only kept the car a few weeks because of this same issue. And on that car there was no mechanical way to get into the car. (No Keyholes period)
