Like the last poster said there is not a special remote on the stock CD player on basically any car.

BUT.. All that remote wire is, is a low current 12 volt signal that is switched with the radio or accessory. So you can find a spot in your fuse panel that is switched and connect it to that. Or you can run it from your 12volt accessory outlet (cigarette lighter socket) and i don't mean by plugging something into it more like running the wire to the connection on the back. This should work fine because this is just a reference signal to turn the relay or solid state switch in the amp to turn on. It gets its actually power from the larger gauge cable (red and black). So you shouldn't have to worry about melting any wires and creating huge problems for you due to too much current running through such a small wire.

But honestly if your spending money to get an amp and a sub or aftermarket mids and highs you might as well get a new head unit to you can fine tune your audio and gain settings as well as connect tings the way they were meant to be!
