Talking TephraMOD V6 - testing!

Hi Guys,

Well it's almost time to release V6 of my long awaited mod

This is just a testing thread, I will get more ROM's up soon:

88840617 Test #2 UNTESTED
88590615 Test #1 UNTESTED

Now the first thing you will notice is the 06 in the above ROMID.

In order to reduce XML SNAFU's I have changed the ROMID using the version as the 3rd byte.

This also means you just need to COPY THE WHOLE xml file (TephraMOD-88840617.xml) into your ecuflash directory. - NO MORE MANUALLY PATCHING .XML FILES!!!

BIG WARNING
- This latest mod has a LOT of new code so there are bound to be bugs!
- This also means that it takes longer for me to patch different ROMID's
As usual if anything looks funny/out of place - please post up

New Features in V6
1) Full gear based WGDC and BDEL lookups
- The gear is selected by looking up "RPM/Speed to Gear" map.
- You can log MUT42 + MUT43 (like 2byte load) to see what values to put on the left side of the map:

2) Increased resolution for WGDC, normally its 2%, now it's 1%

3) Added MrFred/Acamus airflow calc

4) Added a min-load otherwise 100% WGDC value

5) Added boost drop for certain scenarios:
- added boost drop for high-knock
- added boost drop and CEL flash code for AFR mismatch
NOTE: I personally feel these measures could actually do more damage - ENABLE at your own risk!

6) Buggered off the low oct timing+fuel maps - everyone made them the same anyways...

7) Added TPS + MAFIAT corrections to WGDC

8) Added "startup IPW adder" to altmaps - good for E85 dudes!

EvoScan XML

Here are some old and some NEW xml entries for EvoScan - The ROM's should all come with programmed MUT tables already!

Code:
<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="MAT Scaled" LogReference="MAT" RequestID="44" Eval="x-40" Unit="deg" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="100" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="100" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="3" Visible="False" />

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Gear" LogReference="Gear" RequestID="40" Eval="x" Unit="units" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="300" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="300" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="5" Visible="False" />
<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="RPM_SPEED_RATIO_AVERAGE" LogReference="RPM_SPEED_RATIO_AVERAGE" RequestID="42" RequestID2="43" Eval="x/36.37" Unit="rpm/kph" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="300" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="300" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Airflow Rate gm/s" LogReference="gmas" RequestID="00" RequestID2="01" Eval="x*0.0236" Unit="gm/s" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="10000" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="10000" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="4" Visible="False" />

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Load 1Byte" LogReference="Load" RequestID="41" Eval="1.3*x" Unit="load" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="300" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="300" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="Displays state of the throttle. High voltage or % value means a more open throttle. When logging engine activity (especially on the dyno), it is useful to log throttle position. This makes it easy to see when a power run begins and ends i.e. when the driver's foot is depressing the accelerator fully. Some mitsubishis show up to 20% when your foot is off the accelerator, and will show a max of 90-99% when your foot is fully applied, this is normal.
" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Airflow 2Byte" LogReference="AirFlow2Byte" RequestID="02" RequestID2="03" Eval="6.29*x/64" Unit="Hz" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="3000" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="2500" ScalingFactor="0.1" Notes="" Priority="4" Visible="False" />
As usual let me know of any problems

I have(read was) been running this on my car for a couple of months with no bad effects, but please do your own due diligence

Lastly I have been accepting donations for my work, if you like it or get good use out of it please feel free to paypal whatever you can afford to donations@globalshare.net
This is probably more relevant now that I have crashed my car see (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-recently.html)

Cheers
David

I should also mention - that I have left in the ICS mods for NON-ICS cars.. It's just easier for me

ALSO - The boost control mods by mrfred will need some tweaking to work with V6! More on this later

Just had a quick look at this ROM - although not for my car as it is 9653006 - and was not clear on the boost table look up for gear dependence.
Is this option going to be available on the main map, alternate map or both?

p.s. glad to see you are still with us - hope you are on the mend.

Richard

There are NEW 'Base Wastegate Duty' AND 'Alternate Base Wastegate Duty' 3d maps.

Same goes for 'Boost Desired Engine Load' + 'Alternate Boost Desired Engine Load'.

They all appear under the "TephraMOD" category!

Cheers
D.
