http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7028224 is supposedly equivalent.

Why not just get it from the dealer? They've never charged me more than $7/qt for SP-III.

I am just wondering. Since there is sometimes better fluids to run than OEM.

Right now I found that AMSOIL, MOTUL, and CASTROL produce a equivalent.

I'm reading the service manual right now and it says 0.58 - 0.63 qt from being drained, on the AYC torque transfer mechanism.

Update for anyone.

Contacted Redline regarding which ATF to use for the rear diff torque transfer part. Waiting for response.

front ACD and rear Diff use the same gear oil? or does the ACD only use the ATF? I'm pretty sure the ACD also uses two oil types.

NEWB

no acd uses normal gl5 gear oil..

to clear things up..

for the rear diff, you need two oils... normal gear oil and ayc oil (amsoil synthetic atf is great)

acd needs normal gl5 gear oil just like the gearbox..

hydraulic control system for the centre and rear diffs also uses ayc/atf fluid, but you do not need to change that often..
