I guess anything can happen.. A Turbo Busa generally weighs 550lbs + a 150lb rider is 700lbs total.. They see near or over 200mph 1/4 mile passes and the dont have any known issues of high speed failure.. Like anything its always a gamble.. I dont see it as any different tha not have a scattershield which 90% of the cars that drag race dont have.. have you ever seen a flywheel cut thru the firewall and right thru the car??
