The remote wire can be used to power two amps. It is just a low voltage signal wire.

The votage is the same as any aftermarket wire, which is 12.6. if you're getting anything less, move your source. though your amp only needs to see the voltage from the remote line, if it's getting less than 12.6, this means it could be tapped into something that you don't want tapped into ( like your airbag lines)
