Metra dash kit alpine unit in evo

put the metra dash kit in. i must say this kit fits very nice at least my kit. i installed an alpine ida-x001 for the ipod. the material of the dash kit is identical to the steering column on the evo. some gauges will be coming soon to take up the empty space. here is a pic.

cant complain

That looks awesome!

I really like that Alpine unit. Just wish it had a CD player. It isn't often I use CDs, but there is the occasional time... Does it work well?

Seriously. Looks awesome. Look forward to seeing it completed with some gauges!

What are the size of the gauges that you are going to put in below your HU? Do you think 3x60mm DEFI can fit in a single din space with a little cutomisation? Thanks!

That looks pretty clean bro! I've had Alpine decks in the past and have nothing to complain about them.

I think he forgot rear right, but im sure you guys can figure this out.
Thanks mate!

Maybe just let you know my problem. I've purchased a JVC HeadUnit - AVX805. The installer says that he has problems wiring up the headunit to the amplifier. So wat he did in the meantime is that now he wire the 4 speakers direct to the HeadUnit...bypassing the amplifier. It means that he has actually found the individual 4 speaker wires out from the stock headunit.
I suspect that I'll just need to wire the 4 speaker wires to the JVC Headunit...but he say cannot work coz need other wiring. So I'm not sure also.

Any help will be appreciated.

That is probably one of the better installs i have seen on here with a metra kit. It seems everywhere I look on here people are complaining about it, which worries me a little. My Double Din JVC nav system gets installed tomorrow, Im just waiting for the metra part to arrive. That is a sweet alpine HU though. I love The ipod Control on it!

Here is my Metra Kit with a Pioneer P4100DVD. It is also a carbon fiber look.
