thanks for the prompt reply dude.... what happens is that the engine response is sluggish and the transmission jerks( unhooking and hooking the battery back up solves the problem for about 5 miles or so and then it's christmas again (cel).... i got a code 0715 when got it tested at autozone.... input speed/turbine sensor problem... checked all the wiring ... everything is in it's place... so the only thing left is the sensor... but i don't wanna go through the dealer.... they're dumb as !#@$# when i called them for a price quote they were guesstimating how much it would cost...i do need the sensor but from what i've heard is that dodge/chrysler/mitsu parts are interchangeable.... lemme know where i can get this or what is comparable....

5-sp or auto? Know anyone with a Lancer that would let you see if that was the issue? Meaning, a quick switch of the sensor and taking it for a spin? Not sure what other vehicle's sensor can work in it's place, but there proabably others out there. Parts/junk yard nearby? Give them a quick call to see what trannys they have in stock...if they even know.

That's assuming the part number you listed is correct. I didn't check it myself.

Well, for one thing, the input shaft speed sensor and the output shaft speed sensor look different. When you actually look at the two, you'll be able to tell. The input shaft sensor (the one you ordered) has the electrical connector pointing up, whereas the output shaft sensor has the connector pointing off to the side. These pictures should help. The one boxed in red the second picture is MR331743.
