Temperature titanium turns blue
Does anyone know what temperature titanium turns blue?

Just a question of curiosity as my exhaust tip is turning slightly reddish with a hint of blue.

Titanium melts at approximately 3200F, so it probably turns color somewhere between 2500F and melting point...I think. Just a rough guess.

I really don't think your exhaust temps could make it change color. Some exhausts (such as Megan) already have a colored tip.

Im sure its a lot colder than that. My friend blues his ARC shiftknob on the stove

Ti will start turning oxidizing/nitriding from ~400C up. Higher temp will accelerate the process.

As for the type of exhaust; Turbo XS full tbe (stainless, with titanium tip.)

Pale gold straw-725 F
Purple-775 F
Deep blue-825 F
Red purple-1049 F
Brown gray-1200 F
Green blue-1697 F
