Yup, i got mine install by pro as the instructions were all writtern in japanese and tech the installer is jap.

awesome unit, very user friendly and so much easier to tuned than my previous apexi avcr.

very stable boost to redline now as the stock unit was dropping to 16psi at top end.

turbo is now spooling and kicking in earlier, very impress

No Daimon,

The HKS EVC only gets power from the accesorie source, it comes with a red wire and an attached fuse in-line and a ground.

The only white wire on the harness goes to the engine RPM signal line or speed signal line as per intruction manual page 22 para 3.2 step 5)

I installed mine last nine and have the intruction manual in front of me. Maybe I overlooked something but I might be wrong.

It is very simple. I had mine installed yesterday by myself. The actual controller/display comes with 3 tiny connectors in the back, you only need to use the 2pin and 3 pin connectors.

One of the connectors in the back has the scrmable wires(you don't need to use them) The other connector has a "Y" harness . One end provides the power and ground and the other side directly connects with the harness coming straight from the EVC steping motor.

The "blue and white" wires that you are talking about are the Throtle input signal(Blue) and the Speed/rpm signal (white)

The harness coming from the EVC steping motor is white on the end that connects the display and is black on the end that connects the Steping motor.

I am writing a huge installation write up. I took more than 30 pictures, I have been just lazy to post them but please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

This is the third EBC I have use on my cars and I consider the installation easy. Even a cave man can do it. . Seriously, PM if you get stuck but I should be opening a post tomorrow with pictures and details.

A couple of important initial suggestions though:

1) do not use any lubricant to slide the hoses into the step motor nipples or the two vacuum filters (filter are foam filled and step motor can malfuntion and missread boost vacuum signal, it is that sensitive...)
2) be very aware that the supplied 6mm hose internal diameter is indeed too big for the stock compressor and waste gate nipples. This might give you a catastrophic visual perception that the hose is secure. I suggest you use a more appropiate better suited hose that fits the nipples tight and not loose.

Specially you that don't have a tune, pay a lot of attention to the turbo and waste gate hoses, from own experiences (13 turbo cars, 3 EBC,10 plus MBC, 2 blown 4G63'S, a few blown turbos) you can dynamite your engine or pick up some turbo wheels from the tarmac if your boost hoses are loose. I am not kidding

i hear ya, we got a reducer and used a smaller hose to connect to the compress housing and wastegate nipples.

btw, should I set the boost at 19.5psi or so on my boost controller?

19.5psi is perfectly fine. The EBC would probably maintain that number all across the rpms range.

This is a understatement from the instruction manual (page 2), quote:

Warning Function- "If the boost exceed the user selectable warning value, the EVC notifies the user with and audiable beep and a visable warning display. Simultaneously,it lowers the boost to the baseline boost value or by a user preset value. This function prevents damage to the engine and/or the turbine due to over-boost"

HAHAHA, it is only true as long as the hoses are properly connected otherwise it would do the exact opposite, your audio signal would be your turbo exploiting, your visual signal would be pieces of the turbo in the tarmac, and unlike the manual says, you will produce engine damage.

If power fails then yes, the internal steping motor would get stuck on the existing boost value but if a hose comes loose there is not a damn thing you can do to prevent catastrophic damage.

In other words, it should work fine but a faulty installation would or could destroy your engine.

Okay so I fixed the problem I was having, no CEL

Car seems to be running great right now!

Another question I have, is there way to set the A/B levels in PSI instead of the 0%-199% way they have?
