Tire / Wheel Fitment Questions

There are many threads about different wheels fitting and not fitting. I want to try and centralize some of this information in this thread.
Any wheel that is a verified fit on an Evo, please post it here.
This is generally without using spacers, if you need them list it.

In general all post should include size and offset that is (again) verified to fit the Evo.
Vendors will be a big help here as they try different wheels on cars.
Pictures are always a plus, ina addition to available colors, weights. You get the idea.

Feel free to request a particular fitment verification here but please don't post yeah I was wondering that too.

Thanks
timzcat

Edit: Also, a good number of people ask for a price on wheels. I don't expect the vendors to publish thier current price as they change and we also don't want the "myprice is better then yours" thing to happen. If you could though, at least list a rough price or MSRP so people have a ballpark on what to expect if they want a particular wheel.

Edit: This thread can also be helpful:

Hi,

I'll start. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed or edit it for me.

Wheel: Enkei RS-5
Size/offset: 17x7 5-100/114 40
Price: ~140$/wheel from Discount Tire

These are a 5 spoke design. I was surprised that a 17x7 wheel fits, but it does. Clears calipers by a mm or so. I drove around with the windows down to make sure it wasn't rubbing when turning or braking.

I'll add some weight info as well. On my bathroom digital scale, the stock Enkeis with ~60% worn advans and lots of brake dust weighed 44 lbs (no lug nuts). The Enkei RS-5 with brand new 235 45 17 Falken Z1-EX all seasons weighed 43 lbs.

Here is a pic on my car:

<edit>
Per jbrennan's post here is more info:
Hubcentric rings were required and provided by DiscountTire in my case. Also provided were gorilla lug nuts.
</edit>

Take care,

FB

Enkei RPF1, 17x8, 35mm offset, 5x114.3, standard 60-degree conical lug nut seat

These weigh 15.5 pounds each, and can be found for around $230 per wheel.

They fit without spacers; hub centering rings are needed, and should come with the wheels as long as you specify you want fitment for an Evo.

This isn't a confirmed fit.. However I've found that many wheels are listed in Inch backspacings and bolt patterns..

+38mm offset on a 8" wheel should be 5.5" Backspace
114.3mm bolt circle is 4.5"

This should open up your options a bit since there are many other manufacture wheels where fit would be an issue.

Neal

Do the 17inch Superleggera one piece wheels clear the calipers?

I know these are not listed on the
tirerack website, but they were also not listed for C32AMG but clear the calipers of that car as well.

Thanks

This thread needs to get back on topic! I was hoping it'd turn into a thread similar to the exhaust thread in the turbo forum.

Ditto.
That was my intention of starting the thread. So far only TireRack has listed wheels that fit and a couple users. I was hoping to create a comprehensive list of wheels that fit for everyone to reference.

I am not showing they make a fitment that would clear the calipers. I can double check with my fitment team, but I dont think it will turn any results.

Neal,
Do Kosei K1s come in a 17" fitment that will fit EVOs? Also, will Tire Rack ever carry Falkens?

Thanks!

The K1 is produced in very limited 17" fitments. None of these come in the bolt pattern needed for the EVO, nor do they have the correct offset to clear the brakes.

5Zigen FN01R-C, 18 x 8.5, +30 offset. Standard conical lug seat. (You'll need lug nuts.) Fits with plenty of caliper clearance, no spacers. Weight according to our shipping scale is 21.4 pounds.

17" x 9" +35 fits, too, but I don't have pictures or weight for that one.

Least expensive, above average all season performer would be the Mille Miglia HT-3 with Sumitomo HTR+ tires. This would be a great performing all season package. Price would be $1,072.00 before shipping
