p0117- need help
ok, this time it's my car.
p0117 code is coming up over and over again after I clear it.
Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Input.
I've accidently tapped the wire (yellow pin 83) with a ground wire for the wideband.
Wideband works after we tapped the right ground wire and power source.
Now the car starts up real weak, fan comes up then shuts down.
it's killing me, cause I have no idea how to fix this...
I"m in a different town and the only mechanic in this town is out for a vacation for this whole week.
I can't even have the car start up.
I'm thinking it's something to do with the sensor, but i have no idea...
any help will be great.
Thanks.

yeh, i've cleared it with my code clearer (orange thing) and then after that i've hard reset it by disconnecting the battery and leaving it for 30 minutes, then replug.
Now the car runs, but it's running lean when the foot is off the throttle. Then it tries to shut itself down.
Also the fan is constantly on!
I'm thinking it maybe the coolant temperature sensor... I don't even know where that is.
So I'm gonna go do some research but I need some help on this topic, if anyone has done this or went through this...
Thanks...
So far, online searching came to 0 conclusion, since it's not something that happens often...

coolant temp sensor plug.
Where is that located? I know you follow the top radiator line all the way to the firewall, but I just can't seem to find it...

I had something similar with my 04 Mustang. Every time I would start the car, the cooling fan would come on, and just run while the car was on. Only difference was the the car started fine and ran fine. It was still driveable. Any way, the temperature sensor was unplugged. I had unplugged it because the harness was in the way of something else I was working on, and I just forgot to plug it back in. I don't know the exact location of it on the Evo. Check it out, who knows, it might be your issue.

Well, i haven't really touched that sensor or anything in the engine bay, except for the spark plugs I've change earlier that day.
I might of really just fried that sensor.
Coolant temperature sensor probably needs to be replaced...
Anyone know where this sensor is?????
