the grill looks good. IMO you should have left the lip alone.

Thanks for the comments! It was my first time taking the bumper off any car I have owned and doing something like so I was pretty happy with how everything turned out. I like the look with or without the lip painted, but really love it with it painted. I think it gives it a nice aggressive look. My wife noticed it was different and looked good so that is really saying something haha.

I think it looks pretty good. What type of paint did you use? I would think it would have to be something strong enough to take the bumps and rocks.

Thanks for the additional comments. I did use the Plasti-Dip product. Other people have said it has held up very well for them. I just made sure to let it dry about 1 hour in between coats. I did 4 coats on the chrome ring and 5 on the lip. It seems like pretty durable stuff.

certainly not the first to do this, but it does look better then stock.

My only neg on it is that you should have went a little wider, to match the width of the grill peice as it meets the lip.

Thanks Rocky and West Bound. I thought about going a little wider, but liked the look of being lined up on the edges of the ring and just going down. I think the other way looks great too though.
