VHT Nightshade

Thinking of blacking out the side turn signals and tails on my TB RA. I heard of this VHT Nightshade stuff from a friend. Just wondering if any of you guys have any insight as to how complicated it can become and whether it's even worth the time/money/effort.

i only paid 13 bucks for mine and i loved the way mine came out. I'd take the jdm ones over it but still for that price it works very well

i had a couple friends that used it on their tail lights.
i didn't like the results too much. didnt look right imo.
spend the extra money and take it to a shop and tint em, looks cleaner.

if anything i'd black out using that Nightshade stuff on my side turnsignals/markers and my 3rd brake light forsure though
but not my tail lights...

i actually used that on my 03 headlights and taillights when i had it and loved the way it turned out. i have seen some disasters with it too tho. gotta have a skilled hand when it comes to rattle can painting if youre gonna use that stuff for sure.

Yeah. Let me know how that works for ya. I'm about to go find out how much it would be to have my turn signals tails and windows tinted.

Used it on my side markers worked great. Just taped it off realy good wet sanded then painted. Do not use clear coat with vht nightshade!!! its not made to work with clear coat being that it is a translucent paint it will make it very hard for the light to come through and will dull the end product even when pollished.

PS. check my pics in my other thread a few down from this one to see how it turned out.

How bright do your taillights shine using this? Any problems with the cops? Looks good.

this is just with the headlights on as I could not find anything heavy enough (even a phone book) or another person to hold down the brake. Shows up a little pink bc of crappy cell camera.
