Help with wheels/tires

Hey right now I'm thinking about getting either :

These: http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=5872

Or.... just powder coating the stock rims black....

Which do you think??

Also if I go with the Rota Grids then would my stock tires be able to fit on them or would i have to buy new tires?

I've talked to wheeldude ( the guy who sells those Custom Rota's) and he was sayin' he would recommend "235/40/18 tire for nice fitment on the wheels and also the car." Our stock tires are 215/45/18

Lemme know what works and what you think I should do, once im done with my car ill start posting up pics !!

Edit: do I need to get anything else, such as spacers etc? Also will my vehicle reconize the pressure and show up or do i need a special new tire pressure thing ( sorry i have no idea what its called )

Ha, I was just looking at those today.

The stock rims are porkish, I think AMS weighed them and they weighed in at around 40+lbs EACH.

I think 8.5 is TOO wide for the stock 215s to fit properly, at least I wouldn't risk it anyway.

You shouldn't need spacers for a proper fit, 44offset works fine. However, the rear wheels will not be flushed with the fender, so if you want them to be flushed you will need a 5mm spacer. According to 2009 Ralliart Wheels/Tires Fitment

And for TPMS, yes you will need to transfer them over from your stock rims (or buy new ones) and re-calibrate them. Unless you like to drive around having the MUD yell at you every time you start the car.

And finally, theres a dedicated section for wheels...09+ Ralliart Brakes/Wheels/Suspension. Post in there next time

40 POUNDS!!!! You need to get rid of those! You could loose a LOT of unsprung weight with some light wheels. The wheels I want weigh 17 pounds each.

The 40lbs+ (48lbs, I believe, was the figure mentioned by AMS?) is with tires. Stock wheels weight about 26lbs according to other members on the site.
