AMS SRI installed
So I just finished installing my AMS intake. Started up the car everything seems fine no CELs so far. i'm gonna take it to my tuner and get a tune tommorrow at AM SHARP!!!!
One thing I noticed is that when I start the car it's idoling at around 1000 then it drops slightly and then it goes back up to 1000. I'm a bit nervous to even drive my car to the tuner. Can anyone suggest how I should drive it and on what gear????

If you are going to drive it to the tuner, keep the RPM's low and out of boost. Pretend like your elderly grandmother is in the passenger seat and she's trying not to spill her casserole all over your interior.

^You are refering to Initial D. Anyways do what is suggested and keep it out of the boost range until you get to the tuner. Last thing you want is for you to break something on the way there.

driving 50 on a 65 is not fun trust me. Well everything is installed problem is my o2 sensor went bad so my tuner could not adjust the AFR correctly so I have to drive like this until I get an 02 sensor and take it back.

Ummmm, why did your O2 sensor go bad? You been running leaded race gas? if you have not been running leaded race gas keep in mind that a check engine light code for the rear O2 sensor also covers incorrect MAF readings... exactly what you would get from an upgraded intake. If your MAF readings are far enough out of whack it may even implicate the front O2 sensor... not sure on that one though.
If you are being tuned by a real tuner, they should have a wide band O2 sensor on their dyno, or if road tuning a portable wide band O2 sensor. What your stock O2 sensor is reading is irrelevant to tuning the ECU.

It's only the front that went bad.

If you havn't been running leaded race fuel, there is no reason for it to have gone bad.... a whacked out MAF reading from driving the car un-tuned with an intake may have fouled the sensor at worst... take it out and clean it (don't ask me how... just don't use water )
In reality I suspect that the whacked out MAF readings made the ECU think the O2 sensor is bad... not an actual problem with the O2 sensor. If the front O2 sensor shows you running very lean, and the ECU detects no problem with the MAF sensor itself, it will flag the front O2 sensor as being bad due to it reading lean. If you have a MAF problem causing you to run very rich it will flag the rear O2 sensor.

This ain't the problem tho. I got the check engine light before I even put the intake on. It happened after I had my stock exhaust pulled out by my tuner then they had to put it back in because they sent me an EVO X catback parts which do not fit the RA. So basically it happened after the took the exhaust out and had to put it back in.

Ultimate Racing has the best customer service I told them that they sent me the wrong exhaust and they sent me the parts I needed the next day. Jerell is a good guy.

That does suck, just imagine I thought the AEM CAi was the same for the RA, so i bought it and relocated my battery to the trunk to make it work. Only to findout it doesn't fit. For Sale! Evo X only........
