Drives: 2010 Ralliart Sportback.

Forge WG actuator from EVO X confirmed!

Hey guys,

Just a heads up, the bolt pattern on the Ralliart turbo is the same as the EVO X turbo for connecting the WG actuator. The shaft is much shorter on the Ralliart stock WG actuator, but the Forge is adjustable, and at the limit of adjustment it is the same length as the Ralliart WG actuator!

Good news!

Keith

PS: my first mod is now on the car

Drives: 2010 Ralliart Sportback.

It increases boost pressure and keeps it from falling off as fast in the upper RPM's. After taking mine apart to re-orient the boost nipple, I think mine may be defective! So I gave the rod on the stock WG actuator a couple turns to increase the pre-load and left the Forge WG actuator off of the car. I am waiting for a response from Forge on the issue I discovered before I decide to use it.

Ummm, it make no noise at all. This is not a BOV or bypass valve.... it is a wastegate actuator.

.......i "tightened" my stock waste-gate actuator 1 and 1/2 turns several months ago.

seems to be working well and with my minor amount of mods,

i do not think i will need an after-market actuator.

the forge is a nice part if someone wants it on their RA.

..........they have been working very well on the Xs' that have them.

^ +1 I heard from a friend about turning the stock wga rod a couple times to allow for more boost pressure;
I really forgot about it, will try it out btw!

I got a response from Forge today and re-checked what I thought was wrong with my WG actuator... turns out that I am retarded There was no problem with the unit and I will be putting it on the car in the morning.

Keith

PS: I would NOT recommend combining the forge WG actuator with a boost pill unless you are doing a custom tune on your ECU... an off the shelf boost pill tune is based on you having the stock WG actuator in place and would likely result in over-boosting!

First remove the heat shield from the turbo.

Then you will see the wastegate actuator attached to the firewall side of the turbo. It is held to the wastegate flapper on the passenger side with a cotter pin, and bolted the the compressor housing on the drivers side with two bolts (10 mm or 12 mm). It is easier to get too if you remove the upper IC pipe, and turbo inlet hose.
