Rich,

Get ahold of Mike W @ RoadRaceEngineering. I know him and his wife just bought a 2013. Maybe he'll help! He has better than a wideband, a Dynapack.

You've done quite enough already for all of us Rich! Copying over the MAF scaling tables is something the end users can do if they want that for each version you release

Update to Base Maps - v31.003

We have a new set of Base Maps.

v31.003 Base Maps

This includes "stockpill" tunes for USDM 2013. I would very much appreciate it if somebody could do some "extended" logging of the 2013 ROM in action, following the directions found in this PDF. Thanks. This is for RAX Patch testing, and needs to happen before any "boostpill" or "TBE" version is released. THIS IS For THE NEW 2013 ROM ONLY - no need to mess about with the pdf or extra testing on established ROMs.

For those updating from v31.001, the changes in this ROM set are as follows:
  • Removed the "P050B DTC Disable" change, as it didn't seem to be 100% effective.
  • Revised the "Lower Boundary Timing Map" to stop P050B from happening on cold start.
  • Removed a small tweak to "1st Gear TPS Limiter (Drive)" at 1500rpm. This was ostensibly for slightly more responsive SST when going WOT standing-start. With my new RAX Fast Logging, I can't see this actually improving anything, so... gone.

As you can see, this is mostly about P050B and 2013.

PLEASE double-check your selection - stockpill vs. boostpill, 91oct vs. 93oct, etc. All the ROMs are in one zipfile, so choose carefully.

Cheers,

Rich

Rich,

Just installed an AMS Test pipe w/ resonator and a buschur racing 3" exhaust. I have the AEM intake and flashed the V31 basemap+boostpill/AEM/TBE. I haven't had a chance to pull the code, but does that map shut off the rear O2 sensor, or does it just change the values? I have the O2 sensor installed on the most forward bung, should I move it to the rear most bung after the resonator?

As soon as I get a chance I'll pull the code residing there, at work right now and no laptop with EvoScan

It doesn't shut off the rear O2 sensor circuit. If you've removed your rear sensor hardware, switch that whole lot off via the relevant ECU Options bit.

Ok, the sensor is still there but I think it's in the wrong place, a bit too close to the turbo. I'll read the code, see if its important, move the O2 farther down stream on the test pipe, reset and try again. I'll hit you up with results by tomorrow.

How well does this tune work with a stock evo x blow off valve?

With a decent air bypass valve (ie. Evo X metal one), your initial peak boost levels may be a bit over target. If so, just shave a few percentage points off your BWGDC tables.

It depends on a number of factors, though. You may have to, you many not. And it's purely the initial peak you need to look at - after that, error correction kicks in and does its best to track the target boost curve.

See here for details.

Hmmph :/ How will I know if I'm over boosting? I'm planning on switching them this weekend and I'm not very tech savvy and can't afford to bring it to a tuner so that makes me nervous.

Do a few power runs up and down your road in 3rd or 4th gear while logging with EvoScan and your Tactrix.

Review your logs and see what your peak boost is. If it's over target, then adjust BWGDC..

Well, you're talking about changing something in order to hold more boost... presumably "up top". To verify that, you need to be able to log.

If it does increase boost levels, great. You get more boost up top, where it's needed. But what if it also increases your peak boost after spool-up? If that's higher than target, a slight change in the tune is needed to compensate.

So if you're not able to check it yourself and don't want to pay someone else to do it, then you should probably just leave it alone for now.

You're stressing too much about this bud. I have the EvoX metal BPV and I've been running these GST basemap tunes ever since they first came out and haven't had any problems. Relax!
